Blog is an acronym of the word Web Log is a means to store information online that can be used by all people and is useful to provide information without limits of space and time. Blogs in the world of education both for institutions and individuals provide a very important role, one of which is the teacher's blog. Blogs for teachers provide many benefits and advantages. By having a blog, a teacher can document the work and innovation, the blog can also be used as a medium of publication, as a medium of sharing knowledge and experience, as a medium of learning can even be used as a promotional media. Currently, the role of blogs for teachers has not been well optimized, not many people know the benefits of blogs for educators. For this reason, the Department of Computer Science/Information Technology conducts community service activities in the form of Blog creation training using the Wix platform located at SD it Insan Mulia Semarang.
This training uses the Wix platform as a website builder platform that makes it easy to create a blog. By using Wix, teachers can create blogs easily and interestingly. The drag and drop technique found on Wix and the many variations of templates to choose from make it easy for teachers to learn to use this platform.
Based on the results of preliminary studies through interviews and questionnaires, some teachers at SD it Insan Mulia Semarang have used and have a blog, some do not yet have a blog. All participants have never been familiar with the Wix platform for creating blogs. With this blog creation training activity, teachers managed to create a simple personal blog easily. According to the teachers, these activities are useful and interesting, and can add new insights and knowledge for teachers.
