History

In 1994, the mathematics studies in diponegoro university starts to implement a curriculum that lean towards real life application that are tangible and also able to accomodate market needs, so that the curriculum in the mathematics studies in diponegoro university was changed by dividing it into 4 vocation with those 4 being pure mathematics, applicable mathematics, statistic, and also computer science.

In 2004, based on the letter from the directorate general of education number 1365/D/T/2004 13th of april 2004 gives diponegoro university the right and also power to held an education process in computer science (Bachelor degree) starts from the 2004/2005 season. In 2010 the name computer science wass changed into informatics engineering based off the letter that was released from DIKTI regarding nomenclature studies.
