Community Service at SMAN 1 Purbalingga

One of the commubity service team, Department of Computer Science Diponegoro University has conducted training in the use of information technology for teaching and learning in SMAN 1 Purbalingga. The team consists of Dr. Eng. Adi Wibowo, S.Si, M.Kom, Aris Sugiharto, S.Si, M.Kom, and Panji Wisnu Wirawan, MT. The training was held on April 14, 2020 online with video conferencing. More than 30 SMAN 1 Purbalingga teachers were enthusiastic about participating in the training.
The training, which was held, provided information on how to teach online, in terms of immediacy and bandwidth. For example, for high bandwidth and high immediacy options we can use video conferencing software. Then, to carry out teaching with low bandwidth and low immediacy, we can use text messaging. In addition to the socialization, there were also presented materials and workshops on the optimization of presentation software for teaching, by embedding sound and video descriptions at the time the presentation was played by students. The goal is when students run the presentation file, students are as if dealing with the teacher.
Teachers are given the opportunity to do independent practice related to presentation software optimization material. As an evaluation, trainees are asked to make teaching materials and explanations using audio / video embedded in the presentation. As many as 20 teachers sent the presentation evaluation and all of them could make presentations by putting audio and video into the presentation.
