Department of Informatics FSM Undip holds Adjunct Professor Program with information Security experts from Universiti Malaya

SEMARANG - Department of information, Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) Diponegoro University (Undip) held an Adjunct Professor program themed Information Security on August 24-27, 2025. This prestigious Program presents Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norjihan Abdul Ghani from the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

The activity, which lasted for four days, was part of the Diponegoro University World Class University program with the person in Charge (PIC) Dinar Mutiara Kusumo Nugraheni, S.T., MInfo Tech (Comp), Ph.D. The Program aims to improve academic and research quality in the field of information security as well as strengthen international collaboration between the two universities. 

In this adjunct professor program, Prof. Dr. Norjihan Abdul Ghani shares various cutting-edge topics in the field of information security that are very relevant to today's technological developments. The materials presented include: a Secure Health Information Exchange in Smart Healthcare Environment: Advancement and Challenges - discussing security challenges and solutions in the exchange of health information in a rapidly growing smart healthcare environment. 

Towards Device Authentication Design with FHIR Integration for Healthcare IoT Systems - explore device authentication design with FHIR integration for secure and interoperable healthcare IoT systems. 

Enabling Secure Data Sharing in Intelligent Transportation Systems Environment - describes secure data sharing strategies in an intelligent transportation systems environment. 

Authentication Using Identity-Based Encryption in Edge Computing for Intelligent Transportation Systems - discusses the implementation of identity-based encryption for authentication in edge computing Systems for Intelligent Transportation. 

AI-Assisted Threat Detection Systems Utilizing Adaptive Learning-describes AI-based threat detection systems with adaptive learning technology that can adapt to new threats. 

And an additional important aspect of this program is a special session on how to transform innovative ideas into real projects for S1 Informatics students. Prof. Dr. Norjihan Abdul Ghani provides practical guidance on project development methodology, from problem identification, solution design, to implementation and evaluation. 

The Presence Of Prof. Dr. Norjihan Abdul Ghani is expected to have a significant impact on curriculum development and research at the Department of Informatics FSM Undip. This Program also opens up opportunities for long-term research collaboration between the two institutions, especially in the field of information security.
