Healthy and Safe Internet Education (INSAN) at SMA Islam Hidayatullah Semarang

Internet technology during this pandemic has a very big role to play in supporting students in online learning. However, on the internet there are a lot of negative things which, if not filtered and treated properly, can have a negative impact on students or children, one of which is the threat of pornographic content.
The number of social media sites on the internet, such as Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and so on are also sources of information that are often accessed by children or teenagers. The absence of filters or strict restrictions on the content that can be posted on these sites makes a great opportunity for negative content to circulate.
SMA Islam Hidayatullah Semarang is one of the schools that has implemented online teaching and learning activities since the issuance of the Jawa Tengah Governor's policy on March 16, 2020. Online learning activities have resulted in students using the internet almost every day for a longer duration than usual, because the internet is the main means to support this online learning pattern.
Therefore, the service program held by the Department of Computer Science / Informatics, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, intends to propose a Healthy and Safe Internet Education (INSAN) activity at SMA Islam Hidayatullah Semarang. This activity is expected to provide knowledge about healthy and safe internet rules to students as well as teachers or parents / guardians of students so that it can encourage teacher or parent / parent or guardian concern to pay more attention to students or children when using the internet.
