Optimization of the Application of Artificial Intelligence for Data Analysis in the Agency for Personnel and Human Resource Development Demak as Coastal Areas

Demak, August 4, 2025-in order to improve the ability of the State Civil apparatus (ASN) in Demak Regency, the Diponegoro University Information Service team held a training entitled “Optimizing the application of Artificial Intelligence for Data Analysis in the personnel and Human Resource Development Agency of Demak Regency as a coastal area”. This activity was held in the starfruit classroom Bkpsdm Demak and followed by ASN from various fields. This training aims to introduce the application of artificial intelligence in data analysis to improve the quality of public services and administrative efficiency.
The training began with a speech from the Secretary of BKPSDM Kabupaten Demak, who conveyed the importance of utilizing AI technology in improving ASN performance, especially in supporting faster and more accurate public services. The secretary of BKPSDM stated “ " this training is the first step for ASN in Demak to be better prepared to face the challenges of government digitization. Hopefully, with the abilities we gain from this training, our public services will be more optimal.”
Furthermore, Satriawan Rasyid Purnama, S.Kom., M.Cs., Chairman of the Diponegoro University Service Team, explained the purpose of this training, which is to introduce the concepts and practical applications of AI, especially in the context of government administration. "Artificial intelligence is no longer an option, but a necessity. We design this Program so that it can be directly applied in ASN's daily work, especially in data analysis and data-based decision making,” said Satriawan. Together with colleagues from the dedication team, namely Dr.Eng. Adi Wibowo, S.Si., M.Kom., Drs. Eko Adi Sarwoko, M.Comp., Guruh Aryotejo, S.Kom., M.Sc., as well as student M. Daffa ' Atstsaqif, Kayis Hilmi Farih, Khoirul Nasid Furqon, Unggul Adimulia, and Muhammad Reynaldi Akbar, they worked together in delivering training materials.
This training material covers two main topics: Prompt Engineering Patterns and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Guruh Aryotejo, S.Kom., M.Sc. describes Prompt Engineering, which teaches how to design commands so that AI can provide relevant and high-quality responses in ASN administrative tasks, such as official letter writing or data analysis. Meanwhile, Satriawan Rasyid Purnama, S.Kom., M.Cs.discuss RAG, which is an advanced method that combines internal data-driven information retrieval with the generative capabilities of AI to produce more accurate and reference-based answers.
After the presentation of the material, the next session was a shopping voucher quiz that tested participants ' understanding of the material that had been given. This quiz also aims to encourage participants to use ChatGPT in solving difficult data analysis problems, as well as applying prompt engineering techniques to maximize results.
The training concluded with the hope that ASNs in Kabupaten Demak can integrate artificial intelligence into their daily administrative activities, accelerate administrative processes, and improve the quality of responsive and adaptive public services. The Diponegoro University Informatics Service team is committed to continuing to assist the application of this technology in the Demak Regency government environment, in order to support the ongoing digital transformation.
