Semarang, March 9, 2024-the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro Semarang organized a community service activity entitled "Optimizing the use of Canva applications as Integrated Learning in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Digital literacy as an effort to increase the creativity of Islamic kindergarten teachers Nurul Iman Semarang" on Saturday, March 9, 2024. This training was attended by about 20 participants consisting of Islamic kindergarten teachers Nurul Iman Semarang and early childhood education teachers in Semarang.
This service activity aims to improve the competence and knowledge of participants about digital literacy, especially in the application of Canva applications. Canva integration in learning is becoming increasingly important in educational curricula that emphasize the use of technology.
This activity was chaired by Guruh Aryotejo, S.Kom., M.Sc., which also acts as a speaker. In addition, this activity involved lecturers from other Informatics departments, such as Prof. Dr. Rahmat Gernowo, M.Si.; Drs. Bayu Surarso, M.Sc., Ph.D. .; Priyo Sidik Sasongko, S.Si., M.Kom.; and Khadijah, S.Kom., M.Cs.
Broadly speaking, the materials presented in this activity include: Introduction to Information and Communication Technology (ICT), introduction to Digital Literacy, application of ICT and Digital literacy in education, and introduction and Case Study of the use of Canva in education.
This activity is expected to provide benefits for Islamic kindergarten teachers Nurul Iman Semarang and early childhood teachers in Semarang, among others: a thorough understanding of the integration of ICT and Digital literacy in supporting learning activities, as well as a deep understanding of the use of the Canva application in making learning materials.
The Department of Informatics, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro Semarang is committed to continuing to organize community service activities that are beneficial.
