Undip Informatics Students Successfully Study Abroad in Malaysia with Global Experience

Semarang, 19 November 2025-the Department of Informatics, Diponegoro University, in order to strengthen academic cooperation relations, collaborated with the Faculty of computing and Informatics (FKI) of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) through the Student Go International program held on 27 October to 1 November 2025 in Kota Kinabalu and Labuan. The Program was also attended by 11 students, namely Muhammad Helmi Abdulbaqi, Alan Nuril Fuadi, Nadia Azura Nurhaniya, Syifa Aeni Mudrikah, Raihan Lazuardi, Gege Centiana Putra, Amelia Aristianti, Farras Hilmy Zaidan, Puti Shasta Khafiyani, Rafa Azlan, and Muhammad Fikri. The students were also accompanied by a lecturer from the Department of Informatics Diponegoro University, namely Henri Tantyoko, S.Kom., M.Kom.

The Program began with a proud award where two teams of 11 Informatics students from Diponegoro University won the “Idea Competition” competition held by the Faculty of computing and Informatics, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. During the program, students also get the opportunity to visit one of the largest mobile operator companies in Malaysia, namely CelcomDigi. Not only that, the students attended an audience with the Vice-Chancellor as part of the institutional cooperation agenda. Equipped with a faculty tour that has been designed by FKI, the students have been given an overview of academic facilities, as well as the culture of learning applied by Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Not to forget from their academic roles, students also received exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) from one of the ums lecturers who expanded students ' understanding of how to use AI in everyday life properly.

This activity is also part of the commitment of the Department of Informatics in building collaborative relationships with international institutions.
