Undip Socializes Primaku Application at Rumah Anak Surga for monitoring Children's Growth and Development

Semarang-the community service team from the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), carried out socialization activities on the use of the Primaku application at the children's Paradise House (RAnS), located in Bangetayu Wetan, Genuk, Semarang City on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. This activity aims to introduce digital technology in monitoring children's growth and development to caregivers and managers of RAnS. The Primaku application, developed by the Indonesian Pediatric Association (IDAI), supports systematic and digital recording of Child Development.
The team of lecturers involved consisted of Henri Tantyoko, Priyo Sidik Sasongko, Sutikno, and Retno Kusumaningrum, accompanied by student Alya Safina and the team. They provide rans caregivers with hands-on training, from how to record a child's weight and height to indicators of motor development. The caregivers are guided to be able to use this application independently to monitor the development of foster children in RAnS.
RAnS itself is a free home for orphans, orphans, and duafa from vulnerable backgrounds, such as victims of violence, unwanted pregnancies (KTD), and children of parents who experience mental disorders. Currently, RAnS cares for 19 children between 1 and 2 years old. The role of the caregiver is essential in ensuring the well-being and development of the child through regular monitoring.
The chairman of Rumah Anak Surga Foundation, Nora Fawaidah, expressed her appreciation for the real support from the academic world for children who need special attention. Meanwhile, rans manager, Melisa, considered that the Primaku application was very helpful in documenting and monitoring children's growth and development on a regular basis.
In the training session, participants seemed enthusiastic about following the application usage guidelines, including how to record physical data and Child Development. Henri Tantyoko emphasized that applications such as Primaku are very useful in detecting potential growth and development disorders in children early on. He also stressed the importance of synergy between universities and social institutions to create a better parenting system. This activity is a form of Undip's commitment to supporting the welfare of Indonesian children through the use of appropriate technology.
