Introduction and Training of Microsoft Excel for Students of SMP Negeri 27 Semarang

Technological developments are very influential in all aspects of life, especially in the field of education. The use of computers in the world of education and learning is an unavoidable need. Science and technology that is developing rapidly must be directly proportional to the design of teaching materials applied in each school. One of the skills that must be possessed in this era is data processing which can be learned using Microsoft Excel learning media. The “EXCELLERATION” activity at SMP Negeri 27 Semarang provided training on the basics of Microsoft Excel to class VIII and IX students of SMP Negeri 27 Semarang. This activity was carried out by the Devotion Team from the Department of Computer Science/Informatics, chaired by Fayza Aulia with members Anjar Asmarani and Mumtaz Hana Najda Hafidh with supervisor Mrs. Khadijah, S.Kom., M.Cs. and Mrs. Sukmawati Nur Endah, S.Si., M.Kom. The activity took place on March 30, 2022 at SMP Negeri 27 Semarang located at Jalan Ngesrep Timur VI No.4, Sumurboto, Kec. Banyumanik, Semarang City, Central Java 50269. This activity was fully funded by the Faculty of Science and Mathematics through DIPA in addition to the State Budget for FSM UNDIP. This training was attended by 18 students from class IX and 2 students from class VIII. During the series of events, participants seemed enthusiastic and brave enough to ask questions when there was difficulty in understanding the material and doing practice. The result of this service activity is that participants are able to complete the assignments given and better understand the functions of Microsoft Excel.
